Seven figure investment for QHotels portfolio
This week QHotels has unveiled details of the investment it has made into its portfolio for the first quarter of 2010. Having spent over £1,100,000 so far this year, the group has already funded a number of instrumental developments across its portfolio, which fall in line with its commitment to keep its meeting product at the forefront of the meetings market.
With the investment split between The Queens in Leeds, Chesford Grange in Warwickshire, Stratford Manor in Stratford-upon-Avon and Tankersley Manor near Sheffield, the group has kick started work on a number of new initiatives.
The iconic Queens in Leeds has benefitted from nearly £500,000 which has been used to develop Leeds' first ever dedicated executive floor. The aptly named QClub will boast eighteen executive guest rooms and suites (two of which have individual terraces), exclusive access to an executive lounge with complimentary bar. Guests can enjoy breakfast from the lounge, browse the internet, catch-up on work or the watch the latest news.
Chesford Grange, in Warwickshire has just unveiled its brand new event suite. The Stratford Suite. A great addition to this hotel, The Stratford Suite will compliment the 700-capacticy Kenilworth Suite and provide a meetings environment for the mid-sized meeting of 180 delegates theatre-style or 120 for a banquet. It is equipped with the latest audio visual technology, enjoys natural daylight and has direct access onto the beautiful gardens at the back of the hotel.
A further investment has also allowed QHotels’ Stratford Manor to develop a brand new conference café, which opens later this month, and gives meeting delegates free-flowing refreshments and flexibility when hosting their event here. Trainers will now be able to benefit from conference centre facilities with a four-star hotel service and environment.
The 17th century Tankersley Manor has also enjoyed a £200,000.00 soft refurbishment incorporating its lounge, reception, restaurant and 30 of its guest rooms and suites. The refurbishment follows a £2million renovation of the meetings and events facilities last year.
"We are certainly starting to see signs that the conference and meetings market is on the road to recovery, and we appreciate the importance of continued investment and advancement. We pride ourselves in our evolving and progressive reputation and will continue to demonstrate this throughout 2010," commented Michael Purtill, QHotels Managing Director.
